a butterfLy, for me!?

hey peeps! here is a quick little post about a brooch i won from Laura's Jewellery via Facebook. Laura makes pretty handmade jewellery and ive followed her on twitter for a while now. she recently had a 'market night' on her facebook page, where she offered some jewellery at some great prices, and also offered some freebies to the first person to comment on the photos of those items, and i was quick as a flash and managed to be the first to comment on a pretty little butterfly brooch, so YEY!

the birds...

hello! can you believe its December already!? MADNESS.

anyway, heres a blog post about another giveaway i WON, yey! this time its a sweet 'birds' book with lots of jewellery and accessory projects in it, which i won c/o a competition from the Craft Institute via Making Jewellery Magazine's facebook page!

it was a blog competition and to be honest, id forgotten id even entered it, and then the book came in the post, it was such a surprise! i cant wait to make something using the book as inspiration!

Stick With Me

hello. here is another blog post about stickers, cos i just LOVE EM!

these ones were kindly sent to me by the lovely Tim Easley, who i have also WON a tote bag from recently, which you can see/read all about in THIS blog post: [http://xclarebearx.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/this-is-easley-great-giveaway.html]

Tim had been tweeting abut the stickers [an amazing skull one in particular!] and when he said he was giving away some packs of stickers, and asked if anyone wanted any, i said "me, me", so he very kindly sent me some. awesome.

he sent me LOTS of stickers, which you can see here:

a #TuesdayTreat from Jon Richard...

well, hello.

everyone likes getting stuff for free dont they, and youve got to be in it to win it, as they say. so when i saw a tweet from @jonrichardjewel and @Debenhams saying all you had to do to WIN a lovely sparkly Swarovski Elements pendant was to Re-Tweet and include the hastag #TuesdayTreats, i did, and thought nothing of it.

a few days later, i think, i was checking twitter on my phone and saw a mention from Jon Richard and Debenhams saying i had WON one of the pendants. there were three colours to choose from and i liked the clear one [i thought i could wear it when im a bridesmaid for my brother next year!] so asked if they could send me that one, and they did. how exciting!

it came today, and i LOVE it. its super sparkly and has a lovely AB [aurora borealis] finish to it. its not as big as i thought itd be, i think the image made it look bigger, its actually quite small and sweet.
