here is ANOTHER blog post about ANOTHER compeition/giveaway i won via twitter. i seem to be very lucky thesedays, but, youve got to be in it to win it, as they say, hehe!

ok, so this giveaway was hosted by HI! magazine and was a competition to WIN a cute illustrated journal by talented Scotsman Neil Slorance [who ive been following on twitter for ages!]

the journal is called 'The Amateur Astronomer's Journal' and here are some pics of my cool competiton prize...

 Neil had said on Twitter that he hand writes a message into each of his journals, and mine says "well done" and has a little rocket doodle, aw!

Car Boot Booty:

i went to a car boot sale with my brother and my future sister-in-law [aw!] this morning and had a wander around and bought stuff, it was the 'Batleys' one at Chester-Le-Street for anyone whos local!

heres my car boot haul from earlier today:

four books for a pound! a book about 'evil cults' - amazing, a seamus heaney poetry book, a william shakespeare booky, and 'Wordsworh's Verse'. nice.

a silver coloured pocket watch and a lovely paisley brooch:

here is the pocket watch, its really modern but in a vintage style. i like it:

and the brooch, i LOVE paisley and i just think it looks so indian with the gold and purple! :)

a miniature frame, how cute:

here is my mini beauty haul, lol. not bad for £1!

candy orange, YUM

 a duck and a chicken, these will be made into rings i think!

theyre small, and so cute!

well, i do love a car booty, and i think ive done pretty well for only £5.50! i love all the things ive bought. have you bought anything great from a car boot sale/vintage fair etc recently?

Stick With Me

Tim had been tweeting abut the stickers [an amazing skull one in particular!] and when he said he was giving away some packs of stickers, and asked if anyone wanted any, i said "me, me", so he very kindly sent me some. awesome.

BeautyMiniatures&Samples...

i love them, dont you. . .

i seem to have been "collecting" miniatures/trial/gift sized toiletries and beauty things for ages, cos i have quite a few of them. some of them have been gifts, some ive bought myself and some i have acquired. here are some them:

a hello kitty 'Liberty' set my mam got me from the Boots SALE after christmas in a LOVELY box:

a Soap and Glory set from a few christmases ago:

this Ed Hardy 'Purse Spray' from a lovely box set my mate got me for christmas:

some cute little minis from the Britannia hotel me and my mam stayed at in Didsbury:

a selection of free samples and AVON samples:

 

some free toothpaste samples. handy:

if i could afford it, and they werent so hit and miss, id probs get one of those monthly 'box' things like Glossybox etc. although i have enough stuff to make my own box/es, LOL.

stickers, for me!?

hello. here is a quick little blog post about a kind fella who sent me some of his cute stickers!

the kind fella in question is mr jim e lee, who i will now always refer to as mr, i hope he doesnt mind!

he tweeted @awesomemerch about some stickers they had printed for him, and i said i liked them, so he offered to send me some. how nice! i love stickers, so its always nice to get more [i will do a blog post about my collection of MANY stickers soon]

hip, hip, Rosehip

hello.

heres a post about the lovely gift tags i WON in a giveaway from an awesome company called 'Rosehip', who make 'modern british stationary and paper products'.

i won them by commenting on a blog post, and im so happy that i did, as i commented that id like to use the tags as 'backing tags' for some of the jewellery ive made using vintage and new buttons.

here they are, along with a little handwritten tag from Silkie [which is an amazing name!]
